How do you apply for a grant from DAF?

Applicants have to submit their applications using the online application form HERE, or the downloadable application form, available HERE.

When must you apply by?

Applications for grants from DAF open from 7 March 2018. The table timeline below lists the key dates and windows that you will need to keep in mind as you prepare your application.


All applicants must reach DAF by 11:59pm Malaysian time on the closing date (16 April 2018). Late applications will not be accepted.

In the event that you are awaiting confirmation from partners/ collaborators, please submit your application before the closing date and state what is pending. You may submit the outstanding documents once they are available.


What happens after you submit an application?

DAF will review all applications. If there are any questions, DAF will contact you. If your application is shortlisted, you will have to present your proposal to an assessment panel. Based on the panel's recommendations, DAF will make the final decision on the outcome of your application.


Who will be making the assessment?

The assessment panel will comprise industry advisors, experts and practitioners who will evaluate and comment on eligible applications based on the Assessment Criteria. All proposals submitted to DAF will be treated in the strictest confidence. Likewise, our assessment panels are bound by non-disclosure agreements when reviewing your proposals.
